Call me Davide.

Vanarama: “The Artist” - 30s

On a quiet night DAVID can still hear the strains of Vanarama's take on 'Give Me Joy in My Heart' from 2014. Some advertising folk may call that a job well done, but it's hardly a positive recollection. Fortunately, there are no such crimes against hearing in the brand's new campaign from agency Dark Horses and director Andrew Gaynord.

This 30" effort stars a painter and decorator on the hunt for a new van. When he spots a gleaming Ford Transit on the firm's app, he imagines a new, exalted chapter in his career - and a more, erm, cosmopolitan name to boot.

A sonorous VO accompanies David(e)ís rise to prominence, which caps a likeable piece of aspirational comedy. Itís now up to other motivated business owners to "make the world their canvas".
