Toolstation: “Shark” - 30s
When one hears a retailer carries things "for any task", it seems reasonable to assume there are still limits. After all, one wouldn't expect a domestic cleaning company to deal with an oceanic oil spill. Not so for Toolstation, according to this entertaining ad, who insist that when they say any task, they really mean it. A resolute plumber finds this out the hard way when he attends a seemingly innocuous house call, and things quickly take a turn for the, er, exotic. Director Guy Manwaring does a good job of balancing the mundane with the fantastical here, and elicits a genuine jump-scare from the audience upon first viewing. Thalassophobes will be glad there's a professional on site.
