Swap 'n' snub.

by Andrew MacGregor

Subway: “Sub (Director's Cut)” - 90s

No-one is safe in Subway's new campaign, as the brand introduce ruthless substitutions to real life. Their 'pilot event' is watching football at a mate's house, but when one brings upturned pizza to eat, he's replaced by a bloke armed with sandwiches, drinks, cookies, and other essentials. If only one good decision was enough to secure your spot on the sofa forever.

The fate of the main protagonist is handled well by director Jack Clough, and may coax a wry smile from players who’ve suffered similar embarrassment. Whether hosts have the heart to eject visitors after so long apart remains to be seen, but friends and family best be at the top of their game this summer regardless.
