Stormzy: “Superheroes” - 3 mins 46s

Heroes can feel few and far between these days - elected officials quibble while the world burns, celebrities are exposed as abusers, and current events show deep divides at all levels of society - but Stormzy is determined to show Black youth that they can be their own heroes with this stirring promo.

Dedicated to the late Chadwick Boseman, the animated film which accompanies latest single 'Superheroes' is a love letter to Black excellence great and small. From inspirations like Malorie Blackman and Nina Simone to everyday fighters studying, caring for their families, and protesting for a better future, it's a powerful look at the strength and resilience of a marginalised community.

There's a lot of joy in the promo too, as Stormzy's 2D avatar appears as a big brother figure, sharing his light and passion with the next generation of Black creatives, educators, families, and more. Director Taz Tron Delix has managed to capture the song's energy beautifully, presenting serious subject matter in a sunset-tinged world.
