Moving Moods

by Syd Briscoe

Sport England: “We Are Undefeatable” - 60s

This cheery communication for Sport England encourages people to get moving however they can. The film offers insight into the lives of several people who use sport, dancing, or simply walking with a loved one to help manage their physical and mental health.

There's a conscious focus on finding activity which causes joy rather than feels like punishment - something which is a refreshing change of pace from the oft-held 'push through the pain' attitude. It's particularly touching in the case of a football loving man with Parkinson's, and his still-nimble feet serve as the film's poignant emotional core.
