Fighting Fuel

by Syd Briscoe

Quaker Oats: “The Fire Inside” - 40s

A bloke fuels both himself and the minds of tomorrow in this well-judged piece of work. A bowl of Quaker Oats gets him going in the morning, as he heads to the gym to work up a sweat before jumping straight into the classroom. Balancing a passion for the ring and a passion for your job works up an appetite, after all.

Dermot Kennedy's 'Don't tell me this is all for nothing' packs an emotional punch, and a textured look, and a focus on small visual details elevates the film.

Viewers with busy lives may reconsider the humble bowl of porridge as a warming breakfast of choice as autumn draws in.
