Making a splash.

by Syd Briscoe

Pringles: “Stack” - 60s

The hypnotic qualities of Pringles' latest varieties take centre stage in this amusing commercial. Directed by Greg Gray, the film sees a pair of astronauts splash-land and open their capsule to receive a hero's welcome... that, erm, never comes. Mission control is a little preoccupied with experiments of the edible variety, it would seem.

The forlorn adventurers' plight unfolds in entertaining fashion, as they're reduced to makeshift fishing while they await rescue. All while viewers are cheerfully encouraged to try and create flavour combinations like the 'BBQ pizza stack' or the 'spicy cheese stack' for themselves. Hopefully their own neglected chores will be a little less high-stakes.
