Paddy Power: “Feel Like a Favourite” - 60s

Some would argue that the real winner of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival was not Al Boum Photo, Paul Townend, or Willie Mullins, but Covid-19. Coupled with the recent photo of leading trainer Gordon Elliot sat on a dead horse, there is a certain vibe around Cheltenham 2021.

Keen to lighten the mood as usual are Paddy Power, who enlist Peter and Abby Crouch, ITV Racing's Matt Chapman, and Sky Sports Racing's Gina Bryce for a 60" caper that—courtesy of some of irreverent commentary—turns former England international Crouch part punter, part runner.

There some well-worn gags about Crouch’s appearance, while a glimpse at the journeyman striker's wardrobe evokes a Carphone Warehouse ad from 2019. However, it succeeds thanks to director Keith McCarthy and his leading man's inexhaustible levels of self-deprecation.
