NHS: “Vaccine” - 90s
This diverting NHS film is a timely call to arms…or should that be a call for arms? Despite adverse weather conditions and growing concerns over supply and demand, the health service urge all remaining high priority patients to make a Covid-19 vaccine appointment. Cue appearances from two of Britain's most famous OAPs, Elton John and Michael Caine. While the former veers between straight-laced spokesman and befuddled understudy to Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, the latter embraces the legacy of Peter Sellers for the greater good. Both are ably directed by Stephen Pipe, who delivers a welcome dose of humour amid the organisation's appropriately sombre recent work.
