Mowdee: “Je t’embęte” - 2 mins 32s
Wingmen around the world were forced to stand down in 2020 thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, and the situation is unlikely to improve anytime soon. French rapper Mowdee, on the other hand, still has the ultimate wingman by his side: himself. Alas, Mowdee˛ is a violent, puerile, sleazy menace to society. This makes director Karim Ansel’s promo for 'Je t'embęte [I Annoy You]' something of a guilty pleasure, as the doppelgänger takes photos of passing women, chucks food at fellow diners, and assaults pedestrians, young and old. PC it ain't, but the tone is more knockabout cheek than outright offensive. After all, it's Mowdee who's bitch-slapped for his double's crimes.
