Through the keyhole.

Homebase: “The Street” - 50s

After consumers spent what felt like the entirety of last year staring at the same dingy fixtures and fittings, this timely ad for Homebase offers the opportunity to freshen up one's living space - just in time to stare at it for the duration of a 2021 spent indoors. Director Andrew Gaynord delivers a deft look at different family kitchens here, each one offering a quirky insight into its owners' lives.

Whether beset by trike-riding superheroes scaring the local wildlife or containing a wine fridge which proves a tempting alternative to a New Year's health kick, each kitchen scrolls past with ample time to appreciate its just-installed glamour. It's a preposition bound to entice anyone who skipped the bread-making trend first time around... third time's a charm, eh?
