Heineken: “Lockdown Love Story” - 2 mins 18s

There's an amusing twist to this romantic Japanese film for Heineken. The narrative follows a couple who meet during lockdown and have to play out their budding relationship entirely in virtual spaces due to the pandemic. Gaming together becomes video calls, long-distance parties, and more.

It's a story that will be familiar to many in the audience, as internet connections hit at an all-time importance during the loneliness of multiple lockdowns.

The very human business of break-ups and make-ups continue to happen regardless of what's going on in the wider world, after all.

We won't spoil the reveal, but needless to say the couple's first date in the real world doesn't exactly go according to plan. It's a useful demonstration of the brand's position that nothing quite compares to going out, and may encourage those cautious about re-entering the world to dig out their glad rags once more.
