Ill Will.

by Andrew MacGregor

General Motors: “No Way Norway” - 90s

Will Ferrell has an odd relationship with Northern Europe. 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga' was a tone-deaf tribute to Iceland; now the actor has declared war on Norway over its electric vehicle market share (54%, as it happens). He also recruits livewire Awkwafina and Saturday Night Live veteran Kenan Thompson for the task, undermined only by their collective lack of direction.

Overzealous desire for EV superiority is a fun premise ably realised by director Jake Szymanski, and suggests that Americans are capable of coveting energy sources other than oil. If the high-profile trio could nab some semiconductor chips on their travels, General Motors would be especially grateful.
