Gabriel Garzón-Montano: “Someone” - 3 mins 42s

French-Colombian multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano takes his cues from the likes of Prince and Lenny Kravitz - both in terms of a funk-influenced sound and a distinctly sensual aesthetic. This is encapsulated nicely in his latest promo for 'Someone,' a pastel-pink affair which has the singer lamenting a lover who's left him for pastures new.

The film is tinged with a faint surrealness, as director Anita Fontaine focuses primarily on Garzon-Montano and his performance seemingly outside time and space. Rocking Cuban heel-boots and a variety of gender-bending outfits, the singer's artistic appeal softens the lyrics from accusatory to confused - pleading for reasons, not reconciliation.
