Finn Ronsdorf: “Bloodline” - 2 mins 53s

This sci-fi-tinged promo gives artist Finn Ronsdorf a digital facial. As the German navigates an existential crisis ("Why do I long for something all the fucking time?"), director Jaron Albertin places face recognition technology and translucent skin on top. In this uncanny, transhuman bubble, data flows like blood.

Whether this process harms or helps Ronsdorf is unclear - a volatile relationship that many people share with technology. His performance is unaffected though, with soulful, yearning vocals that complement the CG layers. Yet after so long with faces covered by masks, the digital option is even more unsettling.
