Family ties.

Film Trailers: “Kindred” - 2 mins 12s

This taut trailer for Joe Marcantonio's familial thriller 'Kindred' will jolt potential parents and horror fans alike. Small Axe alumnus Tamara Lawrance stars as an expectant mother taken into her deceased partner's ancestral home, quickly becoming plagued by mysterious hallucinations and suspecting that her mother-in-law's care might not - you guessed it - be all it seems.

The two-minute promo does a great job of capturing the film's atmospheric exploration of maternal paranoia, mixing residual shots of isolation with flashes of disturbing action. This is horror without the jump scares, a crescendo of building tension which should appeal to audiences who like their thrills extra chilly.
