There for You

by Andrew MacGregor

Everyone You Know: “There for You” - 3 mins 54s

A newly released prisoner eases back into the party spirit in this promo for Everyone You Know. Directed by Calum Macdiarmid, the film tracks the protagonist from the prison gates to the tail end of a warehouse party, where those still compos mentis greet him like he's fashionably late. Yet he needs time to adjust to the floor space.

As many readjust to shared spaces and social interaction after the last eighteen months, the ex-offender's pensive mood rings true. He's out of prison but out of practice, and it takes some effort to read the room again. Yet as Rhys Kirkby-Cox sings, "I've lost faith but I still I remain faithful/As long as I've got you and me", dormant bonds resurface in relatable fashion.
