EE: “BAFTA Scotland” - 60s
Because of an absence of synergy, The value of sponsorship often seems quite questionable but, in this beautifully composed film, attention is drawn to EE's sponsorship of BAFTA Scotland in a fashion which successfully highlights both sides of the equation. Lloret McKenna Dunn is a location manager in Scotland, and if you're a fan of her homeland's rugged beauty then you may consider her to have the best job in the world. And if you don't, then you may change your mind after watching Dominic O'Riordan's mini-documentary which presents the Highlands as an exquisite nirvana... albeit, one with an unrealistic lack of rain! It ties in to EE cleverly because of McKenna Dunn's need to send her pictures from wherever she might be. The benefits of 5G seem clearer in a film which doesn't explicitly bang on about it, making this one of the most persuasive films advertising the new technology.
