The outer (spending) limits.

by Andrew MacGregor

Barclays: “Master Your Moneyverse” - 60s

Barclays customer Amit Patel is transported to his own 'moneyverse' in this 60" plug for mobile banking. Amid the usual domestic clutter (stuffed toys, roller skates, etc.) Amit tries to boss his electricity bill at least. Cue an intervention from a cosmic financial advisor who shows how Earthlings can wrangle their money.

The transition from terra firma into orbit is well executed by director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, as anything unanchored (including Amit's children) is subject to zero gravity. Combined with some deadpan delivery and a relatable attempt at telekinesis, it's a worthy stab at making budgeting more palatable.
