The mash-up report.

BBC iPlayer: “Like Nowhere Else” - 60s

Many viewers will see themselves as streaming war veterans after months of binge-watching and extreme channel-hopping. This zany commercial for BBC iPlayer feels like an on-demand fever dream, realised thanks to some playful visual effects and repurposed footage.

Thus we get Alan Partridge playing air guitar next to Stormzy at Glastonbury; dozens of Daisy May Coopers supporting Swindon Town; and Ian Bealeís tears interrupting play at Wimbledon. Even the omnipresent Gregg Wallace inspires a new dubstep anthem called 'Buttery Base'.

Like BBC Radio 2ís Elvis concert from 2006, itís a fun, timely reminder of the brand's enviable back catalogue. Of course, shots of music festivals and packed sports arenas are a bittersweet inclusion as thoughts turn to summer and beyond.
