BBC: “Our Stories” - 2 mins 08s

As broadcasters struggle to wrench viewers away from the on-demand charms of streaming services, it's rare to see moments of unity rather than competition. That makes this film from the BBC, ITV/STV, Channel 4, and Channel 5 particularly striking, as it celebrates the power of media to bring people together - even when it feels like we're further apart than ever.

Director Sam Walker has kept things nicely grounded here, rooted in the British landscape. From iconic locations like the Angel of the North to more local attractions like windswept overpasses and well-kept back gardens, a fleet of tellies bring drama and delight wherever they go.

While license fee changes may leave some questioning how much UK telly is really accessible to all, this is nonetheless an arresting road trip around the country with cultural clips to spare. Reassuring stuff in these (and we hesitate to say it, but DAVID's list of synonyms can only be so long) uncertain times.
