Snap to it.

Aldi: “Photo Booth” - 30s

A useful addition to Aldi's 'Good swap, bad swap' campaign sees a teacher drop the usual school photographer in favour of a booth at the local train station. Despite her best efforts ("This time, Daisy, smile for your nan, yeah?"), what she collects from the slot is unlikely to grace any wallet, photo album, or mantelpiece.

Like the long-running McDonald's Saver Menu strand, this campaign often delivers moments of cracking physical comedy. Director Jim Gilchrist coaxes a playful performance from the girl in the booth, with four snaps that epitomise the "please, this one" mood of school photos. As always, the budget supermarket have more rational swaps in mind.
