Artistic ambitions.

Adobe: “Love the Journey” - 2 mins

Adobe launch a new initiative to encourage BAME students to pursue creative careers with this touching film. The piece sees British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz discuss her mother as an inspirational figure, waxing lyrical about her family's journey from Nigeria to the UK and how that influenced her own path to creative success.

A mixture of archive footage and close-up shots of Simz's mother in traditional dress gives the rapper's musings further emotional heft, while the direct tone draws us deeper into the tale. Genuine love and respect drips from every word, and the up-front discussion of becoming more than the accepted "lawer or doctor" is bound to encourage tentative creative types in the audience to strike out for something new.
