Uncertain Roads Ahead

by Syd Briscoe

confused.com: “The Year of Confusion” - 60s

Eagle-eyed readers - as we're sure you all are - will recall the 30" version of this confused.com ad. While many are concerned with brevity and short attention spans in the pre-roll age, the extended cut of Tom Kuntz's film is a timely reminder that sometimes it's worth taking one's, er, time.

With Timothy Murphy's cynical performance given more time to breathe, the audience are better able to take in all the little details which make the Truck of Confusion so striking. From meaningless ballot papers to fountains of recycling and even social media muppets, this is one HGV you don't want to get stuck behind on the motorway.
