White Lies: “Tokyo” - 4 mins 53s

Post-punk trio White Lies demonstrate their longevity with this atmospheric promo for latest single, 'Tokyo'. The Ealing natives have been chugging away for over a decade, and this Eighties-tinged track, replete with spiky synths and electronic distortion, shows they still have plenty to say.

The accompanying film, directed by David Pablos, offers an enthralling look into the often murky private lives of others. Framed by shots of the exterior and interior of windows, strange scenes are shot through a textured filter. From dancing teenagers to a near-Biblical sacrifice, each vignette only increases the viewer's sense of alienation and intrigue.

Cinematographer: Julio Llorente
