A Very Carey Christmas

by Syd Briscoe

Walkers: “All I Want for Christmas” - 60s

On the twenty-fifth anniversary of her hit single/destroyer of retail workers' souls 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', Mariah Carey celebrates by starring in Walkers' biggest Christmas outing yet. The brand play a blast of the iconic tune, of course, but it's chiefly about the notorious diva doing what she does best: be herself.

Carey handing out luxurious gifts to a film crew while wearing a sparkly gown is extremely on-brand, as is her refusal to share when it comes to the last bag of a limited-edition seasonal flavour. Her crisp etiquette leaves something to be desired when she finally relents to giving a single morsel to a plebeian elf. Everyone knows withholding the bag is plain rude, but we doubt even her manager has the baubles to tell her.
