Knife to meet you.

Umbrella Academy: “Diego” - 38s

Having wiped its slate of Marvel shows clean, Netflix have turned to ‘The Umbrella Academy' to reestablish their superhero credentials. The streaming service's adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's comic book series features a starry adult cast, but these moody promos focus on the characters' formative years.

This particular instalment introduces Diego Hargreeves - a boy with an affinity for wandering around with knives after bedtime. As the camera glides through a stately manor, we see cockroaches skewered to globes, banisters, and hardwood floor.

As if that wasn't grim enough, a hummed nursery rhyme echoes through the gloom - a textbook sign that the boy ain't quite right. Fortunately, those curious to know how these ‘skills' translate into adulthood can binge-watch the answer immediately.
