The Old Vic: “New Since 1818” - 90s

This 90" commercial for the Old Vic claims there is still life in the old girl yet, as the theatre concludes its two-hundredth anniversary celebrations. Drawing from the experiences of performers, patrons, and personnel alike, director Thomas Bryant's ad has an actor delivering the venue's life story, as though she is the theatre.

It's an effective storytelling device, and provides an atmospheric tour of a cultural landmark. One that should be around to celebrate its 400th birthday in 2218.
