The times they are a-changin'

by Andrew MacGregor

Skoda: “The New Ireland” - 60s

Skoda riff on the vagaries of modern Ireland in this trio of ads from Boys+Girls and director Chris Cottam. In an era defined by composed Instagram pics, dairy alternatives, and overzealous dog ownership, the marque insist their Karoq and Kodiaq models are ideally equipped to meet such, er, pressing demands.

Whilst all three scenarios are nicely played with understated dialogue, we particularly like the workmen's coffee order that reads like a hipster's dream. Amidst coconut, almond, and oatmeal flat whites, rarely has a simple cup of tea been regarded with such disdain.
