Short Films: “Recorda Boi” - 2 mins 49s

Britain's Got Talent fans may remember Recorda Boi - a man with a zest for hip-hop and woodwind instruments. His school concert spin on the likes of R. Kelly's ‘Ignition' may not have inspired Simon Cowell and co., but this fine-tuned mockumentary from director Chris Goulder offers an enlightening glimpse at Mr Boi aka Oli Frost's career so far.

A sly parody of gritty artist profiles, the film probes Recorda Boi's run-ins with school bullies ("It's a little flute you blow on… they had a lot to work with there") and the BGT judges, as well as his unwavering belief that the recorder is due a comeback. Let's see if this inspires a new wave of, erm, recording artists.
