Any equestrians?

by Andrew MacGregor

Ralph Lauren: “Work to Ride” - 50s

Previous ads for Guinness and iD Mobile introduced viewers to the world of urban horse riding, offering a new and gritty take on the relationship between man and beast. This new Ralph Lauren film treads more refined territory than its predecessors, as the fashion label profiles Philadelphia's Work to Ride initiative.

Shot with measured intensity by director Sharif Hamza, the ad unsurprisingly focuses on the organisation's polo team - Philly natives who each belie their tough upbringings to achieve equestrian success. It's quietly engrossing stuff, plus the fact that they all look sharp in the brand's wares doesn't hurt either.
