So much for a dry run.

Porsche: “Passage du Gois” - 2 mins

The island of Noirmoutier, off the west coast of France, is separated from the mainland by the Passage du Gois - a 4km tidal causeway that can leave unwary travellers stranded or even submerged. A local fisherman, Gérard Moreau, claims, "You can never win against the sea." Porsche, it seems, have other ideas.

This well-shot commercial pits the marque's 911 roadster against the tide, with director Bernd Faass and DP Jens Spöri capturing the route's foreboding beauty. Paired with Moreau's briny commentary, it's an engaging trip to the coast... though we can't help but feel the brand are missing a trick with amphibious sports cars.
