Cyber Parenting

by Syd Briscoe

O2: “Net Aware” - 60s

This child-focused outing for O2 draws attention to the importance of keeping kids safe online. While every parent knows about keeping their offspring physically healthy and safe, the generation born into a fully digital world are faced with challenges their elders didn't have to deal with: cyber bullying, online transactions, and the ability to talk to people all over the world... including those with bad intentions.

The kids themselves and their charmingly natural performances ensure that this film feels more like a reminder than a scold. From making sure their sprogs are wearing seatbelts to keeping spiders at bay, O2 say they know parents are doing their best - they just want to give them the tools to do the same in all aspects of life, including on the internet.
