Heartfelt farewell.

by Andrew MacGregor

NHS Blood and Transplant: “Pass It On” - 1 min 49s

This slow-burning effort from the NHS Blood and Transplant unit depicts a womanís journey through the night while clutching a heart-shaped balloon. Her placid demeanour gives little away as she watches the vagaries of modern life - like a sofa optimistically strapped to a car roof - from the top deck of a bus. So far, so trivial.

Thereís more to this journey than meets the eye, however, and the final reveal is both devastating and uplifting. Patient viewers will appreciate how soaking up all the little things life has to offer provides more comfort than expected, and thus makes the undoubted gravity of the adís message easier to accept.
