Debt Demons

by Syd Briscoe

Lendo: “Lame Holiday Feeling” - 50s

A man finds himself haunted by the ghost of poor financial decisions past in this Nordic horror from financial troubleshooters Lendo. The Norwegian company aims to help customers refinance their holiday debt, so reminders of their follies don't keep popping up... as illustrated by the hapless bloke here.

Director Harald Zwart has the vibe spot on, referencing classic horror tropes as a spectral banana seller stalks his prey far away from the tropical paradise whence he came.

From creepy reflections to J-horror-style disappearing acts, this film is bound to grab attention - particularly from those who find themselves pursued by similar debt friends.
