League of Legends: “True Damage: GIANTS” - 3 mins 18s

True Damage are a hip hop collective with a somewhat unusual USP: the group is entirely digital. Formed of characters from the popular ‘League of Legends' action-strategy game and voiced by the likes of Becky G and Keke Palmer, the group blur the lines between fantasy and reality - having already gained millions of streams on Spotify and had their debut performance watched by fans all over the world.

This promo for their first track 'Giants' helps cement the group's status as a legitimate musical talent. The crisply animated visuals call to mind the futuristic cities of ‘Akira' and ‘Blade Runner', while glitchy digital flares consciously reference the colourful brilliance of 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'. Abstract yet gritty, this film offers a compelling alternative to the likes of Gorillaz and, well, Alvin and the Chipmunks.
