Kinder: “Dinoboy” - 30s

A boy with a passion for dinosaurs finds his personal style thwarted at every turn in this sweet commercial for Kinder directed by MJ Delaney. While a school day, a wedding, or a trip to a swimming pool might not be an appropriate time for his favourite costume, his dad comes through with a museum trip to see some real prehistoric remains.

Aptly scored by Pigeon John's ĎAll Eyes On Me', the ad succeeds thanks to its charming protagonist - a certifiable rarity in Kinder's body of work. Even if, at one point, the script evokes Nancy Reagan's 'Just Say No' campaign more than it means to, enough care has gone into the production design and performances to merit a pass.
