Time Travelling Tests

by Syd Briscoe

Kia: “Seven Years in Seven Seconds” - 45s

Quality control is taken very seriously at Kia - at least, if this personable ad is anything to go by. The marque put one of their vehicles through seven years' worth of use and abuse in mere seconds, battering it with wind, rain, and extreme temperatures in order to fully test its mettle.

Those aren't the only challenges explored by directors Rudiger Kaltenhauser, Darren Macpherson, and Kyle Obley, mind. More domestic concerns are also explored with a light touch, as an exploding sippy cup and window-licking robot pooch offer bonus wear and tear. While other car manufacturers may push technical prowess to the nth, the advertised brands bring a human touch to the factory floor.
