To Hell and Back

by Syd Briscoe

Hyundai: “The Elevator” - 60s

Arrested Development and Ozark star Jason Bateman takes unfortunate guests on an elevator ride of epic proportions in this entertaining Super Bowl ad for Hyundai. Dressed as the devil's bellhop, Bateman shepherds patrons to destinations they'd preferably avoid, including a shoddy dental practice to a flu-ridden airplane.

The individual floors are cleverly designed, ensuring the audience instantly knows what hell the characters are in for. It makes the transition to Hyundai's 'Shopper Assurance' car purchase system all the more appealing - making this is an effective and eye-catching Super Bowl outing.
