Unlimited Potential

by Syd Briscoe

Gore-Tex: “Test To the Limits” - 60s

Gore-Tex prove they're serious about making sure their clothing can meet life's challenges in this pacy commercial. The brand let viewers in on their extensive testing procedures as fabric is stretched, drenched, and battered in extreme conditions.

Interspersed with this are real-world examples of clothing under similar duress, as daredevils the world over refuse to let inclement conditions stop them from climbing mountains, exploring the unknown, or even scaling buildings to dizzying heights to get the perfect shot.

All of this is beautifully assembled by director T J O'Grady Peyton, who skilfully mixes the sci-fi-esque lab shots with their visceral counterparts out in the wild. Thrill-seekers everywhere will be encouraged to add Gore-Tex's range to their arsenal after viewing.
