Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow

by Andrew MacGregor

Freddie Mercury: “Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow” - 3 mins 52s

Freddie Mercury's 1985 single 'Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow' has received an animated promo to mark what would have been the Queen frontman's seventy-third birthday. At the same time, it's a reminder of the work carried out by the Mercury Phoenix Trust - the HIV/AIDs charity established by Mercury's former bandmates and manager.

It's no shock to hear that directors Beth David and Esteban Bravo rush straight for the heartstrings with their tale of white blood cells in love. Any quivering lips are well earned, however, as expressive, sensitively-drawn visuals meet Mercury's soaring ode to his unnamed partner. Though it may touch some raw nerves, it's bound to chime with anyone who's loved and lost or come dangerously close to doing so
