Embark on a mystical journey.

Fender: “Jimmy Page's '59 Telecaster” - 3 mins 50s

Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page narrates this trippy commercial for guitar makers Fender, which charts both the origins of the band and Page's signature Telecaster. As Page discusses his craft, directors Smith & Foulkes trigger a flowing, brain-melting representation of musical lore.

From dragons to palm readers, from skeletal musicians to orbital guitars, nearly every facet of Page's narration is rendered visually. The animation itself is a blaze of psychedelic hues, with shadowy interludes soothing the eye.

Needless to say, the film is also a feast for the ears. Choice guitar riffs fizz away in the background, enough to add texture and enough to leave fans wanting more. May just inspire more guitarists to attack their instruments with violin bows, too.
