Here, There, Everywhere

by Syd Briscoe

Easyjet: “Hide and Seek” - 60s

A game of hide and seek goes global in this smartly scripted commercial for Easyjet. A woman relaxing on the beach begins to count to a hundred while her companions dive for cover, but all is not what it seems... and she has a lot further to look than we expect.

With deft scene transitions taking her to different locations all over the world - the sea becomes a fountain, a market opens into sheep-strewn countryside, et cetera - there's a playfulness to this film which complements the brand's cheap and cheerful reputation.

Helpful locals and creative hiding spots also enhance the film's light-hearted vibe, though - given the timing and expense - you can tell the brand are serious when it comes to exploiting a Thomas Cook-free market.
