Nice Guys

by Andrew MacGregor

Easy Life: “Nice Guys” - 3 mins 39s

Leicester quintet Easy Life dabble in celibacy, retro-futurism, and political satire with this Greg Barth-directed promo for ‘Nice Guys'. As guests on sexual abstinence talk show Brick by Brick Purity, the band are expected to get with the programme… only for lead singer Murray Matravers to drop an f-bomb within a minute.

This is the least of the squeaky-clean host's problems, however, as a recently incarcerated ‘Donald Trump' arrives bollock-naked and still determined to make America great again. Fortunately, the show's ironic set design ensures a happy, graphic ending for all.

The track itself ensures we get there with a swagger, courtesy of Sam Hewitt's juicy bassline and Matravers's free-flowing delivery. Who knows - it may become the unofficial soundtrack of President Trump's impeachment.
