Break My Heart

by Syd Briscoe

Dua Lipa: “Break My Heart” - 3 mins 49s

Hot on the heels of recent single 'Physical', Dua Lipa continues to mine a retro sound with latest track 'Break My Heart'. Featuring a beat influenced by Queen's 'Another One Bites The Dust', the singer reflects on failed relationships through a series of stylish vignettes, delivered with polished verve by director Henry Scholfield.

Thus, Lipa struts through traffic, dances in a stylised aeroplane, and hides from various beaus in a rotating cast of apartment spaces. It's a colourful take on complicated love which manages to stay edgy despite it's prettiness... not to mention that the 'I should have stayed at home' refrain could well become an anthem for our current times.
