Run for something more.

Cancer Research: “We Don't Break Records... ” - 30s

The 2019 edition of Cancer Research's Race for Life kicks off with this 30" ode to amateurism, wherein a group of pink-clad runners insist they're not in it for money or glory - they're in it for the biggest prize of all: beating cancer.

What the cast lack in physical prowess, they make up for in enthusiasm. Clad in pink from head to toe, each participant stands out on the starting line, a row of ice baths, and media scrambles - yet it's their normality that makes them such a formidable lot.

Meanwhile, director Jake Dypka's film zips along with enough light-hearted flair to spur potential runners into action. While the message is familiar at this stage, the objective remains urgent as ever.
