Bold as brass.

BBC Radio 1: “Horns” - 40s

You should never meet your heroes, as the old adage goes. Now, BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James shows why you should never try and make your listeners' flights of fancy a reality. Enter Cat from Kent, who thinks a symphony of horns - both of the car and musical varieties - would make an ideal programme trail.

Despite James seemingly nailing the brief - no doubt drawing from his past experience with horns - Cat is underwhelmed by the outcome. It's a droll reminder that you can't please everyone, and, given the notoriously fickle nature of breakfast radio ratings, one that fellow DJs like Zoe Ball should take to heart.
