Good Vibes Only

by Syd Briscoe

BBC: “Own It” - 30s

At a time when children no longer have the ability to leave bullying on the playground and, instead, can be pursued at home via cruel online comments, the BBC are launching a new initiative to encourage kids to be kinder to each other.

While the premise of the 'Own It' app seems more than a little dystopian - monitoring the tone of kids' messages to ensure they're sending out positive content - this pacy film demonstrates how learning to moderate their online voice can lead to desirable changes.

From boosting self-esteem to forging a karmic feedback loop which leads to the invention of teleportation (among other such wacky results), the ad aims to empower a younger generation of parents who grew up in the digital Wild West... although their sprogs may need convincing.
