Avanti West Coast: “Let's Get Together” - 60s

This community-minded outing for Avanti West Coast - the successor to Virgin West Coast - suggests successful rail travel is a joint effort. Here, trains are replaced by a sea of people as travellers are treated to the world's longest crowd-surf - carried carefully through the rolling green countryside on the way to their destination.

From prize-winning pooches to business-minded commuters and card-playing couples, a diverse cross-section of rail users is represented as Paolo Nutini’s ‘Pencil Full of Lead’ adds an optimistic vibe to proceedings. We particularly enjoy the assembled crowd coming to a hush in order to avoid disturbing a sleeping baby - it takes a village, after all.
