Sensory overload.

Audible: “Temptations” - 30s

Killing time needn’t involve microtransactions, pop-up ads, or rainbow vomit, says this timely 30” outing from Audible. In a bid to draw attention away from mind-numbing mobile games and non-stop memeification, the e-bookstore present a woman under siege from apps… and only David Tennant reading ‘War of the Worlds’ can silence the din.

Some may argue the best solution would be to, well, turn off her phone entirely, but that wouldn’t be much help to the brand. Instead, they recommend a more focused digital detox - one that centres on the written word and passivity over interactivity. Interestingly enough, escapism still relies on a fully charged battery.
